...I wanted to piece together a puzzle of a guitar, frame it, and give it as a gift. However, I can't find a puzzle. Any ideas? Gifts for a guitar lover...from a new girlfriend.
He has about 3 or 4 guitars already and we are in a new relationship...

"how about a platinum guitar pick pendant for a chain? If you want to do the puzzle, you could find a picture of his favorite guitar, and make a puzzle out of it..."

"Several years ago, my wife bought me a Fender Guitar Pick that is about 8-10" across. It came with a stand. I love it and have had it displayed for at least 10 years."

A gift certificate to a music store such as Sam Ash or Guitar Center. There is lots of gear, tablature, and instructional videos, etc. that a guitar enthusiast might also be interested. A new guitar might not be a great idea, since you are unlikely to pick out what he'd be interested in, and he may already be partial to his current guitar.

"Well, they can never have too many picks (spelling unknown)...and if all else fails, buy him a new guitar strap with his favorite band on it or that you'll think he'll like. Good luck! :)"

"Get him some picks. Not just your regular old picks, but some picks with pictures on them that would remind him of you. Picks with sheet music of his favorite songs."

"Coming from a guitarist, the puzzle idea is cute, but you could do better.
Since you're looking into a puzzle framed, I'm guessing your budget is fairly low. You might be able to find an inexpensive effects pedal for $40. Get a quality brand though, and don't get a pedal he already has.
If your budget is lower than that, look into a guitar slide, they're like $5 and are very fun. A capo is also a handy little tool. About the same price. Also, they sell Gripmasters which build up finger strength, they're about the same price as well.
A set of strings is a bad idea unless you know much about guitars. Likewise for an amp. You might end up buying something shitty, even if it's a recommendation from the storeowner who might be experienced, it may not be suitable for his style of music."

"The puzzle is a nice idea. If you want to get something practical, a set of strings is actually a good idea, just ask what kind your boyfriend prefers. My man plays bass and always digs a new set of strings. A guitar tuner is also a well-appreciated gift. CDs of his favorite music are nice. Also, if you can find a Fender T-shirt, that might be an idea. There are a million things you could get, many of them inexpensive...just ask him! :)"
