"Definitely get her a nice card and at least a little token gift. This is really a case where it is the thought that counts. Something fun that will mean something to the both of you would be a lot more appropriate than an expensive gift.
No girl is going to be upset if you tell her that you know you said you weren't going to exchange gifts but you really wanted to get her at least a little something."
